Biography
Albert Einstein was one of the most influential scientists in modern history, and his name became almost synonymous with genius itself. Born in Ulm, Germany, he studied in Germany, Italy, and Switzerland before working at the Swiss Patent Office, where in 1905 he published a series of papers that transformed physics. That year is still known as his "annus mirabilis" or miracle year. Einstein introduced special relativity, which changed humanity's understanding of time, space, motion, and the observer. His famous equation, `E = mc²`, revealed the deep relationship between mass and energy. He later developed general relativity, describing gravity not as a force in the old Newtonian sense but as the curvature of spacetime. This became a foundation for modern cosmology, black hole theory, and gravitational wave research. He also explained the photoelectric effect, a major step in the rise of quantum theory, and received the 1921 Nobel Prize in Physics for that work. Einstein's greatest contribution was not only a set of theories, but a complete change in how humanity understands the universe. In later life, he also spoke publicly against war, racism, and authoritarianism, making him not only a scientific revolutionary but also a global moral voice.
